My car is making a creaking noise at slow speeds (~less than 10 mph) and goes away. Not sure what this could be. What should I check for rubbing/check for lack of lubrication?

More than likely, this is just a case of dry suspension bushings. However, unless a competent mechanic examines the car and puts it up on a lift, nobody can tell you for sure.
Any creaking if you push down on any of the bumpers? Does is creak in time with wheel rotation? Road bumps?
I would guess broken sway bar links.

I had a similar symptom caused by cv boot ribs rubbing against each other. Lots of possibilities though.
