liftgate opens with remote but will not close. only closes about 5inches then reverses open. can close manually. what is wrong?
Could be binding somewhere or the actuator motor needs replacing.
When you close it by hand, do you notice that extra effort is needed about where the liftgate stops closing? That extra effort would be interpreted as an object in the way, like you, and stop the action.
when i close it by hand it just closes without any binding.
