transmission . . not shifting properly, not going into gear, no pickup when IN gear.
If you haven’t, check the fluid. Correct level? Color okay? Doesn’t smell burnt? If it’s been a while changing the fluid might buy you some time but my gut says it probably won’t. A good independent transmission shop can tell you for sure.

The only thing that I want to clarify is that “independent” shop means NOT going to Lee Myles, Cottman, Mr. Transmission, or–worst of all–AAMCO.
Those chains are notorious for telling you that you need a new/overhauled transmission, even if only a relatively minor repair is needed.
Maintenance schedule shows fluid changes every 45k miles. That kind of leads in to the questions of how many miles on the car and if the fluid has ever been changed.
