automatic shifts into all positions but will not go back into park with out the help of the override button.
a couple of thoughts,
- Shift Interlock: The issue could be related to the shift interlock, which includes a solenoid or sensor. If this component is faulty, it may prevent proper shifting into park or reverse.
- Park Lock Solenoid: Another possibility is a damaged park lock solenoid. This device keeps the shifter in the park position until power from the brake light switch releases it for shifting
Anyway you can post a video of what it is doing??
Once in Park, does it come out of park normally??
