2011 Nissan Sentra - Unresponsive

If I drive without stopping for 2hrs or more, the gas pedal doesn’t respond when I press down (car continues to run as if I didn’t press on the pedal at all). It only last for a few secs at time but will do it longer and more often if I continue to drive. If I stop and let the car cool down, it won’t do it for awhile. There are no other symptoms, the car doesn’t stall, and no signs of overheating. Does anyone have a clue what the problem could be?

Might be a bad accelerator pedal. Best way to find it is hooking up a scanner to the car’s computer and trying to duplicate the problem.

Is there a check engine light on when this happens? Is it on now?

How many miles on the engine and what transmission - auto or manual - does it have?
