I was told by a mechanic at tire kingdom that I need a steering box. When i cut the wheel sharply to the left and straiten it feels like the front wheel got bent and it wobbles for about 10-15 seconds before correcting itself until the next time. It doesn’t always happen when i make sharp turns, but often enough
So are you posting for validation? Would you like a second opinion?
Mine is - 1st, you don’t have a steering box, you have a steering rack. That makes me suspicious of the mechanic’s diagnosis.
2nd, take your car to a highly rated, independent, auto shop, not a chain like Tire Kingdom, and get a second opinion. Don’t tell them what TK said, just what you are feeling and let them diagnose it. Good Luck
