i have a slight thump when step on the brakes and when turning the wheel eitheer way, what is the problem
Control arm bushings, tie rod end, ball joint, loose steering rack to name a few. It has to be physically inspected to know for sure. Then an alignment after repairs are made.

We cannot physically see the car and drive it.Better find a good independant mechanic to diagnose the problem.
It could be rust areas on the brake rotors, warped brake rotors, or a caliper that’s hanging up a bit (not fully retracting) or not “floating” (not able to slide or move) in it’s mounts.
Had the car been parked for a while (several days) prior to these symptoms?
Do you operate the vehicle where road salt is applied to the streets you drive?
