We think our fuel pump gave out and now the battery is drained. We don’t mind getting it fixed but we’re not sure what the cost is going to be. Anyone know what to expect, or have any advice for me?
Until I hear otherwise, I’ll assume you have the 4 cylinder engine, which was the most common
0.7hrs labor for a “fuel pump test”
1.6hrs labor to replace the fuel pump
Depending on where you live, labor rates could be around $100/billed hour, or substantially higher, if you go to a dealer
I suggest you get a proper diagnosis, because some Fords use a fuel pump driver module. If there’s a problem with that . . .
