eats gas, even in 2 wheel drive. seems to always have front-end problems. replacing brakes and rotors all the time.
The 2009 SX4 AWD is rated 21/28 mpg with an automatic transmission. https://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/bymodel/2009_Suzuki_SX4.shtml What are you getting that makes you say it “eats gas”? Is the check engine light on? A bad thermostat or dirty throttle body can affect mileage. Brakes aren’t usually a problem for that model either. A lot depends on how a car is driven. If you drive it hard, it will burn more gas and experience various mechanical problems.
So trade it in and get something that will be less aggravating to you.
Has the vehicle been in a wreck? Or, does it have a salvage title or something along those lines?
I wonder if it was involved in a wreck of some sort, “fixed” and resold. Your mention of always having front end issues was a clue to me.
