new AAA battery indicating good in all tests and no car electrical leakage found. almost starts car but does not. my AAA approved mechanic says it has to be a battery fault.My car is a grand touring s. do you agree?

Does the starter motor turn over the engine at its usual speed? Or does it not turn over the engine? Or does it turn over the engine for a moment but then the engine stops turning? The battery is needed to start the engine, but other things have to work, too.

You should have at least 10.5 volts at the starter motor connections while cranking the engine. If there is less then you need to determine why you don’t.
