According to the car code reader, my transmission sensor is bad. Also, my transmission slips at speeds over 45. How can I determine which sensor needs to be changed?

kProbably a sensor which is sending a trouble code because it detects the very slippage you are feeling. Go after the slippage and the code will probably go away also. You may have to spend some bread. If everything else is in good shape in the car go for it.
