2009 Honda CR-V - Mystery rattle

There is a rattling noise from driversidefront at slow speeds over rough roads. I have changed strut assemblies, stabilizer bar bushings and links, checked caliper pins and two different front end shops but still unable to find source of rattle. Would appreciate any input, especially those who have had similar issues.

Your best bet is to invest in a set of Chassis Ear, or find a shop that has it and go from there… It is really going to be hard to identify a noise over the internet that we can’t hear…

Have you removed all the undercar shields and inner fender wells to make sure NO rocks or whatever has gotten in there making the noise?? Or at least hit them while checking for the noise?? (do that one 1st of course)…

Sometimes the exhaust heat shields come loose and rattle.

Did you replace both front suspension springs as well ? Sometimes a spring will break, and can be very hard to see the crack. The chassis-ear idea above seems a good place to start, presuming someone experienced w/this sort of diagnosis has already used pry bars and standard visual methods to check for play in he obvious steering, suspension, & drivetrain linkages. The brake pads can develop play b/t the back of the pad and the piston, another place to check. .

Check if the sway bar bushings are worn.
