Hello,
I recently took my 2009 Honda Accord LX to have the two front tires replaced and to get a car alignment. When I got the car back the TPMS light was on and wouldn’t not turn off after driving the car for a couple of days. When I initially took the car in the TPMS was not on. Took the car back to the mechanic and now I am being informed that the two sensors on the back tires And the senors on the left front tire are no longer working and need to be replaced. Could they have they done something wrong that now the sensors are not functioning?
My understanding is that the TPMS sensors are good for 7 to 10 years so I doubt if they did anything wrong.
What bothers me is why they did not recommend new sensors with the new tires and why they agreed to put them on the front instead of the rear .
