My parents bought a used 2009 Ford Taurus Special Edition. It has stalled twice – near the same spot – when going up an incline. The car stalls, all the warning lights go on but, thankfully, they make it to the side of the road and can eventually restart it. I’m afraid to let them drive it that they will get hit. They’ve taken it to the dealer both times and no codes appear when it’s hooked up to a computer.
It could be several things and someone will need to check it out for figure it out. My guess is a failing fuel pump.
Are any CEL’s (check engine light) on?
