You are correct, but I really feel sorry for Carolyn having to decipher the poorly written and lousy punctuated posts from the Carwhiners site.

Nonetheless, the problem with the doors remains. Is it all the doors or just one? Is the battery in the remote reasonably new? Do the doors go “clunk” but still don’t lock?
First thing to check is does the other remote work? If so problem with remote. Check battery in it and if not they do wear out. There is not much to them so order a couple new ones and have the dealer program for about $120. That’s what I did.
