2008 Subaru Tribeca - Water on passenger floor

Water is leaking into the passenger side floor and the certified Subaru mechanics cannot fix it. I can hear water hissing and squishing when I turn left, but not turning right. After the shop attempted unsuccessfully to fix it, my stereo died and the illumination lights on the temp/AC went out. Shop said the stereo and lights were related, but the “fix” they attempted was unrelated to the stereo. Feel like I’m getting hosed.

Sound’s like the heater core is leaking.

Don’t know about getting hosed but you do need a better shop. This should not be difficult to solve.

Every shop knows this, but I’d check the sunroof drains just for the heck of it.

If it is plain water and not coolant, the condensate drain for the air conditioning may be plugged. The outlet will be low on the firewall in the engine compartment. Run a piece of weed trimmer line up the opening.
