Interior lights for a 2008 ford escape wont fade off
First, make sure you don’t have the lights turned on permanently. There should be a thumbwheel on the dash for that purpose. If that doesn’t do it, one of the door switches that would normally turn off the lights might be bad. Does the “Door ajar” indicator come on when the doors are closed? If so, you probably have a bad switch. The “Setup” menu allows you to set the length of time the interior lights remain lit. Your Owner’s Manual will tell you more. Or you have a fault in the body control module, which controls the delayed off function.
