my horn doesnt work. it honked once and after that it never honked again.
How long have you owned the vehicle and how long has the horn been dead? Dunno where you are but apparently regular safety inspections aren’t required. It’s still a good idea to have a working horn. Say, if someone can’t see you and starts backing toward your car, what are you going to do, roll down the window and yell, “Hey!”? It could be a bad switch, the “clockspring” electrical conductor could be bad, or something else. A good independent mechanic can diagnose and fix the problem.
There’s five components to the horn circuit.
The horn switch, clock spring, TIPM, and the two horns.
