2006 VW Beetle Radio draining battery I noticed two fuses in fuse box which do I pull out #37 or #42 ? thanks in advance
Are both labeled radio or some such? One may be to power the radio. The other, maybe lower amperage, for the radio’s memory.

I wonder if something as simple as pressing the power button would solve this problem.
I wonder, too. I seem to recall years ago VW radios worked in any position of the key, including removed.
In my 59 VW the radio would work with no key in at all. It was hot all the time and you had to turn it off every time you parked. I suspect they changed that over the last 50 years but yeah, I’d do as Tester said.
