VSC is lit up on my dashboard. What is the problem and how serious is it? Also has a symbol lit.

Your owners manual tells you that VSC is the vehicle stability control system. It uses the ABS system to prevent you from skidding or spinning the car on slippery surfaces. The proper piece of electronic diagnostic equipment can read the error code this system set to turn on the light so it can be repaired. This equipment is at your Toyota dealer but also at well equipped independent repair shops.
It is not a critical warning that prevents you from driving the car but it is a safety system. If you live where it snows, I’d get it checked before winter snows come.
