My 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid lost the power steering. It still drives but power steering is truly missed. A couple repair shops threw up the white flag,no can do. Is this something I HAVE to take to a dealer $$$ or can I get the part(s) and maybe get a shop that specializes in Hybrids. Thanks.
Did the 2 shops say why they won’t touch it?
Don’t buy your own parts and have them installed, you will have a warranty only on the part and not the work.
Call a few more shops. If none will touch it, head to the dealer.
