I’ve googled front end noise for my 2006 Ford Escape. It sounds like somethings banging against the bottom of the vehicle. I saw three people with a similar problem. Then unfortunately I saw three different solutions that resolved their problems. One was as a ball joint, one was a swaybar, and the last one the owner replaced the front axle. What do you think is the best and least expensive way to attack this problem. Oh yeah, it’s out of warranty.
The best and most inexpensive way to attack this problem is to have it diagnosed and repaired at a reputable independent shop. There are a lot of possible causes including a loose exhaust system. Someone needs to look at it.
Thanks for the advice. As a matter of fact the noise did start after the exhaust system was replaced.
