Any sloshing sounds when you open and close the door? The drains at the bottom may be plugged, causing water to overflow into the passenger compartment.

nope, or I would have offered that up. But no sense in sending OP on a wild goose chase. Pyrolord, NYBo and Tester offer decent ideas. I’d start there.
