I have a 2005 Nissan Altima and for a little over a year now every once in a while when I turn the key it sounds as if I am over turning my key when I go to start my car. As I told the machanic no am not actually over turning the key, but that is what it sounds like. It was much worse during the winter months then the summer months. I did take my car to get inspected at the Nissan dealership and the machanic stated he could not duplicate the noise and I would have to wait until the problem got worse. Any suggestions what the issue might be and how expensive ihe problem is?
