vehicle off and in park. attempted to start…no display … now the ignition key wont come out…doesnt turn all the way back to remove it? … stops just bere removal point.
I had the same thing happen with a 97 Nissan pickup once. I needed a new ignition key switch. I’d gather that’s your issue as well.
I’d get the vehicle to a mechanic for diagnosis. You may have to use a dealer since it involves a key, but don’t quote me on that.

Try moving the steering wheel while also trying to turn the key to the OFF position.

The battery is dead. The owners manual shows where the release button is located to switch the ignition to the lock position so the key can be removed if the battery is dead.
