I was changing a leaking fuel fiter and had the fitting that connects to the filter break. Does anybody know if you can replace the fitting or will a whole section of fuel line have to be replaced? I don’t see any way of replacing the fitting.
Yep!
You can either purchase this kit, http://www.amazon.com/Dorman-800-300-Nylon-Repair-Piece/dp/B000XQ5IO4, or find a shop that has this kit.
You’ll probably pay more to have shop repair the fuel line than the kit.
Or replace the entire fuel line.
Tester
+1 for Tester since I look at broken things this way: if someone else installed it…I can do the same thing.
I had to replace one recently and my local Auto parts had the kit that @Tester linked to. They put together a repair piece and a compression fitting for me. Less then $20 for the whole thing.
