Now you know one, I do. I looked at the savings,dropping full coverage, just not worth the gamble. I know many financial advisers say drop it but I like the coverage. Likewise I could drop my home insurance, but nooo.

A home is an investment.

I already explained it. But to address your last post. So it’s totaled, what bearing does that have on it? No matter what, I have to go after the other persons insurance if their fault or pay out of pocket. I do not have as much negotiating leverage as a big ins co. I don’t have to wait, my ins pays out almost immediately. As one example, I have 8 year old suv worth $10k retail and that’s my coverage- replacement cost plus taxes reg etc. All for $180 per year. That’s a no brainer to me…
