2003 tahoe stalls while driving and doesn’t start after. a couple days later has no power anywhere

I was driving when I lost all acceleration and power steering ( stalled). I thought I might have just ran out of gas because my gas gauge doesn’t work, so I put gas in it and it sounded like it wanted to start but wouldn’t. a couple days later I go to it pressing unlock on the key fob and notice it’s not working. once I get in I realize there’s no power. I even did what your not supposed to do and touched the battery terminals with multiple metal objects trying to get a spark and there was nothing but it’s a new battery and a half hour before I stalled it was reading 14V. If anyone knows what’s going on please help me I have a feeling it’s my fuel pump considering the gas gauge doesn’t work but 2 other gauges don’t work so I thought that was because of the gauge cluster.

Well until you get the battery situation figured out, the stalling is moot… But the voltage dropping enough could have caused it to stall out… You didn’t say how it cranked over, fast, normal or slower after it stalled out…

Take the battery back to wear you bought it and have it checked and or replaced.. Then install back in the vehicle and see if it starts, let us know what happens…

So you gas, oil pressure and temp gauges don’t work??

The gauge clusters on these trucks tend to fail. Likely not your stalling problem. Agree with Dave, start with the battery.

I’d also check the alternator.

The BCM in the vehicle may have totally failed.

You can find out about the battery and alternator in about 1 minute if you have a simple volt meter.
