I WAS QUOTED ABOUT $2,500 TO REPLACE THE WATER PUMP AND TIMING BELT FOR THIS VEHICLE. I HAVE 96,000 MILES ON THE CAR. THIS IS A LOT OF MONEY, WHAT DO YOU THINK? I AM NOT HAVING A PROBLEM BUT THIS IS “PER MAINTENANCE”.

Run, don’t walk from the shop that gave the quote. Check your local independents or another dealer. That’s way too much moolah.

With a bad economy comes price gouging, and up sale of unnecessary BS service. You need to shop around like bbowerst suggested.
