When I enter the vechile from the driver side the interior lights do not come on, also when the driver side door is open the buttons for the windows and lock do not work, but when the door is closed all the buttons. The passenger side works like it should. Any suggestions?
The problem might in the wiring harness that runs between the door and the body. If you look at the hinge area of the door, you’ll see a flexible rubber duct. Inside this duct are all the wires for the drivers door controls. Because the drivers door is the one that gets opened and closed the most, over time, the wires in this duct get flexed to the point where they begin to crack and break.
