I have a 2002 Dodge Neon. It has about 70,000 miles. There is a popping sound coming from the front end when I turn and a constant clicking sound when I drive. The speed of the clicking sound increases and decreases according to my speed.
I had my front brakes replaced in November of 2008. I had my rotors replaced in May of 2009. I thought that the noises may have been caused by the front axle, but the mechanic told me that the axle was fine and that he would not waste my money by replacing it. What could be happening? Could it be a CV joint? Please help!
It could very well be a CV joint. Another symptom would be this clicking noise getting louder when the steering wheel is turned one way or the other.
Thank you so much for your reply! I will have it looked at and hopefully get the issue resolved.
