Does anyone know if I have to drop the fuel tank on my 2002 buick century to change the pump? Or is there an access panel in the trunk or under the seat?
There’s an access panel in the truck. It’s an easy job, more so if you have a 1/2 tank of gas or less in the car. Duct-tape lots of old towels around the opening to catch any spilled gas. These module GM pumps are pricey; try RockAuto or Autoparts Warehouse - they usually have the best prices on these. Good luck.
I’m pretty sure there’s an access panel in the trunk. You may need (or want) to remove the back seat.
I’d pick up a repair manual for it which you’ll find will come in very handy for this as well as many other things.
