2001 Volkswagen Cabrio - Glass fix isn't easy

So…I have a 2001 VW Cabrio. The rear window was broken when we bought it and I thought it would be easy peasy to fix. Grabbed the window from our local junk yard. Ordered the Haynes repair manual. All good right? Wrong. I can’t find out how to replace this window! Not in the manual. Not online. Not on YouTube. No where. Apparently no layman has ever done so or wrote about it. Its like some manufacturers secret or something. Now that I have the old window glass out, how do I get the new one in? Thanks!

You removed glass. Reverse your steps.

there are 2 convertible configurations for your year car. early 2001 and later 2001. usually replaced by an auto upholstery shop.

Take the car and the window to a body shop. They do that stuff all the time.

Rear windows are usually glued to the top. A body shop would sublet this to a trim shop that replaces convertible tops.
