Yesterday My 2001 Chevy Tahoe was running just fine. I went to a restaurant and it was valet. Next thing I know, he tells me the steering wheel stiffened up and was unable to drive it. Drove it back home carefully and the steering wheel was so hard to turn, even with both hands and didnt go far at all. completely replaced the power steering fluid and checked the tire pressure, but still same as before. I noticed it is much easier to turn in reverse than in drive. Any Ideas?
Your power steering pump is broken. Or your steering box is broken. Both assume you don’t have a puddle under the truck.

You replaced fluid. How much came out? How much did you refill?
