My 2001 Nissan Maxima has been making an intermitten ringing sound from the front for the past few weeks. It sounds like a loose heat shield but it only make the sound when the cars moving and when I have my foot on the gas.
I would take it to a muffler shop and have them look it over for a rattling or buzzing heat shield on the exhaust.
