I have a 1997 Nissan Maxima with approx. 220,000 miles. While driving on the highway recently, it started to develop a rubbing noise like something is loose in the front end. The noise gradually got louder and louder and now sounds like something is loose in the front end. At low speeds <10mph and at a stop there is no noise. But once the car goes past 10 mph, the noise returns. When the car is accelerating, the noise diminishes. Once I let up on the accelerator, the noise returns and stays constantly loud. Did something on my front end break?
