My 2001 Hyundai Elantra emits a high-pitched whine/squeal when I turn right. The noise stops as soon as I break. I’ve tried topping off the power-steering fluid based on suggestions from AutoZone employees. I just bought (about 2 months ago) four new tires, but the noise started before the purchase. However, it has become louder and more frequent (happens every time I turn right now) since the new tire installation. Any thoughts?
Sounds like the squeaker tell tail they incorporate into the break pad.
Check the brake pads. If not then PS pump belt, pump itself or steering rack.
