2001 honda accord

while driving my car slows down, jerks then returns to normal speed. also, won’t start but battery is good. what’s wrong?

There is no way that anyone can help you if you don’t tell them anything about the problems.

First, give the car’s mileage and maintenance history - things like whether spark plugs & wires, air filter, fuel filter, etc. have been done any time recently. Has any work been done recently? Is the check engine light on?

Then describe the problem fully. while driving my car slows down, jerks then returns to normal speed While driving how fast? When accelerating? decelerating? Cruising? Only when cold? When hot? After driving for a while? First thing in the morning? Is it intermittent or all of the time? What is “normal speed?”

What do you mean that it won’t start? It cranks, but won’t fire up? Or you turn the key and nothing happens? Is this any time? Or only when the car is cold? Or only when hot? Is this a new problem? When is the last time that it started? How do you know the battery is good? Do you have any reason to think that problem 1 & 2 are related?

Think about what you posted and ask how anyone is supposed to help you without any information.

That dirty, original, fuel filter is causing you problems, now. Change the fuel filter.

If it won’t start, how do you know it would slow down and jerk? How do you know the battery is good?
