Lately our 4DR 4 CYLINDER LX 2001 Accord barely moves when put in the Reverse gear. The engine will rev up but the car will barely move. If I stop and shift the gear lever back and forth and then back to Reverse it seems to work. Sometimes it takes more than one try at this. Lately the occurrences have been more frequent. I have taken the Car to Honda twice but failed to replicate the problem there. Both the times, when I drove back home and the problem resurfaced.
What could be the cause of this problem? Could it be related to the Transmission issue this model is known to have.
