Hi. My 00 VW Passat makes a thump noise if I don’t gradually take off once I am at a stop. It is almost as if I am running over a small speed bump (that is the sound). I have to slowly take off…if not, I hear that noise along with a slight jerk. Does anyone know what this could possibly be from?
Bad motor mount or transmission mount would be my guess.
Something rolling around or loose in the trunk maybe?
