2000 Subaru Forester - AT light on

AT oil temp light flashes while driving, after driving 5-20miles, and stays lit. Turning at slow speed 2-5mph some resistance. Temp sensor not issue, trans oil temp withing specs. Subaru tech says “apparent network problem, can’t communicate with computer. Could be other sensors but not worth expense, wiring may be drooping when warm.”
