I have a 2000 lincoln ls with 50000 miles. It developed a miss under load and we got a check engine light. We changed the valve cover gaskets, they were leaking, and the plugs and 2 coils. It still has a misfire and the codes jump around to different cylinders.
Many have been forced to change all eight coils to resolve this problem.
Yep, had to do that with my T’bird which I believe has very similar motor.
