What does this sound like to you all? The jeep has since been parked until I can afford to take it in, but while on my way home the clutch became stiffer than usual & I can’t get it into first or second gear. The vehicle goes into 3rd, 4th, 5th and reverse just fine. Thoughts?
It has a hydraulic clutch (the 6 cylinder, 4.0 does, anyway). If it’s stiff, it could be either the clutch master or slave. Since it’s working fine in the other gears, that’s questionable. Is it stiff for all the gears, or just 1st and 2nd?
Check the fluid levels, clutch and transmission.
