I determined that I needed to replace this sensor and started to. There appeared to be only one bolt holding it in but after removal the sensor head will not come out of the transmission block. Can anyone tell me how to complete the replacement? Thanks…
It should pull out. But what’s probably happened is the O-ring seal has bonded itself to the bore inside the transaxle after all these years. Try prying slowly up on the sensor while at the same time spraying a penetrating lubricant under the sensor. This might get down and lube that old seal to make removal easier.
