Does anyone here know about how much it should cost to have a 1997
Dodge Caravan’s exhaust replaced? Mine just failed inspection because of
this and they gave me a quote of $1212.00 w/labor to repair the whole
exhaust. This is the original exhaust and the vehicle has 93,000mi.

That would be a CAT-back exhaust replacement. And that’s easier than replacing just part of the exhaust system.
All tho, the price of exhaust components have risen, I can’t see where it would cost that much.
With a CAT-back replacement, you go in with torch and cut everything out. Then all the new parts are installed.
