1996 Acura Integra LS Trailing Arm

Hi. I recently took my car in to find out what the noise I was hearing was from. What I found out was that the rubber on the rear trailing arm bushing, both sides, is cracked and wearing thin. The machanic said that to place both would run me about $1400 because the bushing is welded to the trailing arm therefore making it impossible to just swap out the bushing. He said that this was the standard for the 1996 Acura Integra. Can you verify??? Thanks, Judi

That’s the biggest line of B.S. I’ve ever heard. You can’t weld bushings in because if you do the heat from welding will burn the rubber up in the bushing. I looked it up and all the bushings are servicable in the rear suspension of your vehicle.
