I have a 1995 Mercury Villager. I recently chaged the Water Pump and Timing belt. Now when i start my Van theres a whining noise that goes away when the Van gets warm. I tiik to a Mechanic they say i need to replace the Poer steering Pump…is that true?
Fill the power steering pump to the mark. IF it’s the power steering pump whining (usually, rather high pitched), changing the power steering fluid might help.
