I have a 1995 F-150 4X4 XLT extended cab pickup. Last week I drove it to work, parked, turned the key off, and nothing happened. The truck kept running. I had to pull the distributor wire to get it to shut off.
I ordered a new key ignition lock and installed it. That didn’t fix the problem. The truck will start, but won’t shut off and if I pull the distibutor wire, the engine shuts off but the accessories stay on so the battery drains if I don’t disconnect that too.
So, what’s the problem? Anyone know? I would really appreciate any answers. Thanks.
Ryan
You need one of these here thangs (an ignition switch, not the lock and cylinder): http://www.autozone.com/R,2497979/vehicleId,2005001/initialAction,partProductDetail/store,1140/partType,00189/shopping/partProductDetail.htm
(Later that day) Trailing period removed, and, then, tested.
The page on the link said “not found or out of date.” Do you have another link? Thanks.

Take the trailing period off of the URL.
OK- so far I have replaced the lock/key cylinder AND the ignition switch and I still have the same problem. The truck starts and runs but will not shut off. I still have to pull the distributor wire to get it to shut off. Anyone know what the problem is?
Bump-
Anyone got any ideas?
Here are the wiring diagrams. Choose from Fig. 15 through Fig. 23. The PCM Relay may be stuck closed: http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c15280180d52
