Dip stick broke at the bottom does it screw off or it is on the block
Pretty common thing on a lot of engines, little Nissans had a lot to break off…
Basically find a screw that you can screw into the broken off pipe/tube in the block from the outside, make sure it bites good, then use a slide hammer and drive it out… Or you can drop the oil pan and use a drift etc and beat it out from the inside…
Or you can do it the correct way and buy a dipstick extractor tool, you can also google dipstick extractor tool to find one… Most Pro Shops can handle the job for you…
Are you talking about the dipstick itself or the dipstick tube, aka “oil level gauge guide”?
That was an Ask Someone – one and done post, they haven’t been back…
But I don’t think they would be asking if the stick screwed in the block, they said it broke at the bottom, besides, they were known for the tubes breaking a lot…
They normally broke at the flared out (or whatever) part that seated the tube at the block, it was a weak/stress point…
