1989 Integra Gas Gauge Not Working

All of a sudden the gas gauge quit working and once a week she will crank but no start.

I would shut her down and go into store/etc and come back out and she will not start…She will sit for awhile longer and she starts up again…any answers from anyone would be a great help…thank you…

There is a relay under the dashboard, the “main fuel pump” relay, which goes bad on older Honda/Acura vehicles, and can cause starting problems. This usually shows up in warm weather, but if the relay is bad it can happen any time.

Considering the age of the car, the fuel pump could be getting weak, or the fuel filter could be clogged, or both. Have the fuel pressure tested.

The gas gauge is another issue. Check fuses first, then connections to the sending unit inside the fuel tank.
